The Zombie Journals
Review
A Post-Apocalypse Multi-Genre Romp

Okay, step one, this story was genuinely creepy. I've read a few "after the end survivor journals," being a fantasy and science fiction fan, and they rarely, if ever, disappoint. Zombies also are one of the few monsters in fiction that genuinely get me scared. Not sure if it's the near-invulnerability, the fact that they can make more, or their slow, implacable, unstoppable shambling, but it works.
And as for the recipes in the "cookbook sections" of the story, they remind me very much of the Epic Meal Time Zombie special, which used sheep brains for much the same purpose.
The next little mini-genre is the little slaps of poetry, but I am wholly unqualified to rate those so I will have to leave that aside. I have never been a poetry person.
If you like Zombie fiction, this story is a must. Also, if you have sheep brains lying around and want to use them for anything, take a look at those recipes because brains aren't free so waste not.
