Pigletté Visits Argentina
Details
Synopsis
The Pigletté series started in 2001 with Pigletté Goes To Argentina. In November of 2001, Pigletté was joined by his anatomically correct friend BoBo. Through 25 issues Pigletté and BoBo have explored the world taking the Concorde, floating on boats, taking trains, planes, and automobiles, visiting all the continents, and making new friends. While these stories were written for the 8-12 year-old audience of the author’s nieces, the joy of exploration appeals to all ages. Better for more mature children, these books make great age-transition materials. Fun, travel, life lessons, geography, exploration. “Edgy, but not over the edge of appropriate, barely.” (Quote from the niece’s mother.)
The first in the series has Piglettè visiting Argentina with Uncle Markie in tow. First they take the train to Los Angeles, and then fly to Miami and then Buenos Aires. Join them while they take hydrofoils, visit churches, get some culture and eat some dead cow.
