Bio
The major reason for joining this site is to promote, edit and publish the novel The Post-Apocalypse Club. The Post-Apocalypse Club could be classified as literary fiction and a satiricial tragicomedy with elements of farce. The fictitious storyline focuses on a series of post-apocalyptic scenarios but the actual content revolves around the issues of ethics, life extension, ageing and determinism. To liken the novel to the work of established authors, it might be likened to Douglas Coupland's Generation X mixed with Tank Girl and a Plautine tragicomedy (but that is just my own opinion).

Stuart Calimport is currently studying for a MA in Practical Ethics at The University of York. Stuart earned a Masters Degree in Molecular Medicine from Imperial College London in 2008 and his Bachelors Degree in Bioinformatics from the University of Birmingham in 2007.

Stuart Calimport's research and writing interests lie in the fields of determinism, indeterminancy, value of consciousness, value of observation, tragicomedy, survival, simulation, learning, satire, parody, epics, literary fiction, social commentary, intelligence, truth, hypocrisy, mental health, lucid dreaming, imagination, objectivity and empiricism in bioethics, objective human function, human enhancement, complexity studies, biotechnology, non-equilibrium thermodynamic systems, memetics, evolutionary psychology, evolutionary meta-ethics, Universal Darwinism, atheism, cellular rejuvenation, and cryogenics.
